In the fall of 1992, the Howard Karagheusian Medical Benevolent Public Organization (MBPO) was established in Yerevan, Armenia, with the support of the Karagheusian Foundation (based in New York, NY).

Since the first establishment in Yerevan, five more centers of Howard Karagheusian MBPO have been created: a second center in Yerevan (Sebastia), Gyumri, Goris, Vanadzor, and Stepanakert, Artsakh.
